Sierra Skipper is a juvenile court advocate, author, mentor, and community leader dedicated to advocacy, empowerment, and action. Her life’s work centers on supporting youth, strengthening families, and advancing mental health awareness throughout Georgia.
Professionally serving within the juvenile justice system, Sierra advocates for young people navigating legal and social challenges, working to ensure they are met with dignity, accountability, and opportunity. Her work bridges justice, mentorship, and mental health awareness to create pathways toward restoration and long-term success.
Sierra is an active member and community partner with NAMI Georgia (National Alliance on Mental Illness Georgia), the NAACP, the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), and Family Promise of NewRock, where she supports initiatives focused on mental health education, civic engagement, housing stability, and community outreach. She is deeply committed to breaking stigmas surrounding mental health and providing tangible support to underserved families.
Her passion for advocacy is deeply personal. Sierra is a domestic violence survivor whose past relationship resulted in her unknowingly facing a theft by receiving charge. After restitution was paid, the charge was dismissed. That experience strengthened her resolve to advocate for justice, accountability, and second chances — especially for women and youth who find themselves entangled in circumstances beyond their control.
Raised by her grandparents, Sierra learned resilience, faith, and service at an early age. Those foundational values continue to shape her leadership and her commitment to generational impact.
Above all, Sierra is a proud mother to her daughter, Jierra Brené, whose life inspires Sierra’s dedication to building legacy, stability, and safe spaces for families.
Through mentorship, community engagement, and faith-driven leadership, Sierra Skipper continues to transform personal testimony into public impact — empowering others to rise, rebuild, and glow beyond their circumstances.
