Mentorship is more than advice—it is the intentional work of helping young people see the potential within themselves.
Through her work in the juvenile justice system and community leadership, Sierra Skipper is committed to guiding youth toward confidence, responsibility, and purpose.
Her mentorship approach focuses on helping young people understand that their circumstances do not determine their future.
Every young person deserves someone who believes in their ability to grow
Sierra Skipper serves as a Mentoring Program Coordinator with Rockdale County Juvenile Court, where she works closely with youth navigating difficult life circumstances.
In this role, she helps provide mentorship, structure, and support that encourages young people to make positive decisions and build healthier futures.
Sierra also serves as the Coordinator and Lead Facilitator for The Glow Program, an initiative designed to empower youth through mentorship, education, and personal development.
Through these roles, she works to help young people build confidence, accountability, and leadership skills.
The After Glow Mentorship Academy is a mentorship initiative focused on helping youth discover their worth, strengthen their decision-making skills, and build healthy relationships.
The program encourages young participants to grow emotionally, mentally, and socially while developing the confidence needed to navigate life’s challenges.
Key areas of mentorship include:
• Self-worth and identity
• Healthy relationships
• Decision-making and accountability
• Personal growth and leadership
• Building confidence and purpose
Many young people simply need someone who will listen, encourage them, and remind them that their life has value.
Mentorship provides the guidance and support needed to help youth see possibilities beyond their current circumstances.
Sierra’s mentorship work focuses on helping young people recognize that mistakes do not define them and that their story is still being written.
Through mentorship and youth advocacy, Sierra Skipper works to strengthen families and communities by investing in the next generation.
Her work bridges mentorship, leadership development, and community support to create meaningful impact in the lives of young people.
Organizations, schools, and community leaders interested in youth mentorship initiatives are encouraged to connect and collaborate.
Together, we can continue creating spaces where young people feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.
